Are DPMS 223 good accurate rifles?

I don't know any thing about DPMS. A guy wants to trade me for a gun I have. It has a 20" barrel it has a 6 position stock with track rails bipod scope the works. He wants 1200 for it. (Hat is about the value of my gun. Are they worth a crap?
